Hello to all,

If you have read any of my introductory posts you will recall that I

have been haunted by images of Ganesh wherever I go. It is strange

for me being Catholic that the image would be of a Hindu god,

however, at the same time, I perceive that it is simply God coming to

me in the form he chooses. Here I am not trying to confuse Catholic

or Hindu beliefs, but I'm simply seeing something natural in my life

and recognizing it. Well, I was at this store one day and I saw a

statue of Ganesh and I wanted to buy it, but I put it back and I said

if God wants me to have such an image in my home let it come in a

natural, organic way. And, with this I placed the handsome image back

on the shelf. Earlier I had mentioned being at a friend's house,

let's call him Ravi (not his real name) and I noticed a seated Ganesh

in his kitchen. I mentioned this and told him my Ganesh stories and

he told me some thing about Ganesh.....and as far as I knew that's

all he ever thought about that. Only the other day, Ravi came to

visit and he gave me this box that said "GOD IN A BOX" and inside was

a small golden colored Ganesh, seated, the kind for mounting on a

dashboard I believe. Anyway, I had just placed all my Ganesh books on

a shelf and I was thinking how I would like to have some image here

in my home. And I remember putting this all in God's hands and

putting the statue back on the shelf in the store. That night I felt

like there was a place for him there. Then the next day, Ravi gives

me this gift. Everything seemed to fit together too marvelously. I am

happy now. I feel much happier with this tiny, humble statue than

with the big elaborate one. I feel that it is even more special as

Ravi is a very special person who loves me very much--he is a

Christian too--and since he and I have a very special Ganesh

understanding. anyway, that's my new story.

thanks, bill

Dear friend,

Well , its really a pleasure to read about THE HIGHER ONE choosig to

come to you. anyways , hats off to you in being able to accept

GOD'OMING in any form that IT cooses to. here i would specifically

like to mention that IN MY PERSONAL OPINION all religions are man

made as such all should learn to accept GOD in any form IT chooses

to come to one like you as i have always maintained "SPIRITUALITY IS

OPENING OF WORLD WHILE RELIGIOUS BLINDNESS CLOSING"

hats off to you ones again

respects
