He is the one that first really introduced me to Avalokiteshvara. I saw an image in his home (he is the one I mentioned who had a Ganesh image in his kitchen) of who I thought was Quan yin. I mentioned to him that I thought so and he immediately told me that it was actually Avalokiteshvara. I remembered that name. It just stuck in me like an arrow. Ever since then I started running into this form everywhere. Now it is almost as intense as Ganesh. I don't even look for them and they are simply there. Everywhere I go they are all pervasive. Amazing--and once again, being Catholic, I can see how they remind me of Yesu, who, for us Catholics, is the incarnation of God. I was so pleased to learn more and once again, many thanks!
