Guest guest
Namaste Jaeraeth, Thanks for the great site you recommended. Actually, that was the very CD I had been wanting. I had seen it before but could not find it online or in stores. So, if I ever get it, I'll send you Dante Gabriel Rossetti's solid gold wombat. In the meantime you'll have to settle for a kind thank you. Hey, I loved that site and I became a member. I love the information on the festivals and Hinduism in general. It will be good following the festivals through the year as I often like to compare different annual cycles. One thing that unites people of all religions is their observance of the year, which is based universally on the sun and moon and on local traditions. I think it's neat to study different cosmologies from around the world and see how each group of people has their own cycle of the year which reflects their outlook on the world, on spirituality, etc. Also, esp. in native American cosmologies, you can see the way the people are bound to the land in different ways, depending on where they live. You can really see that connection to the land coming through in their spiritual symbols for traveling around the year.
