I have a huge picture of this on my wall. Hanuman looks totally filled with joy and devotion. What a great example for the spiritual life! To have God in our hearts and to be devoted. > As for Ganesha, I am not sure about his friends. I know his brother > Murugan. There is a famous story about the two. However, Ganesha with the big belly and a mouse as his > vehicle knew he could never do that! So instead he walked around his parent's (Siva and Parvathi) hence he won the prize (I think a mango). Yes, I love this story I think that Ganesh did this since his parents were Gods and wasn't this like darshan. I am bad with my terms. Anyway, I liked this alot. Also, I heard that Kartikeya was connected to homosexuals. Is this true? I mean is the connection part of the religion, or is it that some homosexuals have adopted to Kartikeya since they can relate to him? You don't have to answer all these questions. I am just asking if anyone reading the post might know. > That is all I know. I can't think of the friendships of Gods. BUt > do you know about Rakhi? Oh yes, Kumar has been chosen before and he told me about it and showed me the gift he gave and he said he vowed to protect the person who chose him throughout her life. Thanks again Jennifer for the great info. Love, Bill

Guest guest
Bill Hi. I am glad you found my post useful. You mentioned about Karthik and homosexuals. I cant tell about this. When I was in India itself, people in general don't talk about this 'lifestyle' so I am not sure if there is any god or goddess who is associated with this. I am not even sure if any Hindu scriptures mention this. It would be interesting to know about that though. I asked a few of my Indian friends about Gods and their friends. They couldn't tell about friends as such. But it is for sure that Gods in Indian sense are all part of some family and it is the bonds within the family of the Gods and Goddesses which are the most important thing.
