Guest guest
Rajat Hi. I also agree that any god or goddess can be prayed to by anyone at anytime, I don't follow the idea that a god can be prayed to by a particular person at a particular time I read in a Hinduism book on Ganesha that one must read and recite in perfect sanskrit the slokas to Hindu gods, or else it won't work'. I don't believe this because if God is really helping he won't mind if you pray in your mind, out loud or in any language. But I do admit that to me slokas sung in temples by the people do sound very soothing and musical. Maybe this is the reason they say that. What do you think? Guest guest
DEAR JEN, as to reciting of shlokas ,well i too beleive that ,if reciting in sanskrit ,then they hv to be read right & theres a verry much reason behind it as in sanskrit wrong pronouciation can just change the meaning drastically as such results can be equally drastic! HERE WE NEED TO DIFFRENTIATE POOJA BY DEVOTION FROM POOJA BY MANTRAS ,IN CASE OF DEVOTION ONE NEEDS NO MANTRA ETC JUST PURE BLIND DEVOTION BUT WHEN WE TALK OF MANTRAS IT IS DIFFERENT! (Shit ,sorry for caps again , i just forget !!!! dumb me) . as also the sound has been scientifically proven to vibrate the surroundings & bring effects . but then , if mantras are being translated & read in different language ,its equally fine !!!!!!1 ultimately what matters is ones faith "VISHWAASHAM PHAL PRADAAYAKaM" ,its the faith which gives results love ,peace & compassion, universal brotherhood & humanity above all , manushyta parmo dharm, rajat , jenpolan@i... wrote: > Rajat > Hi.
