Hindu deities also appear in the pure visions of Buddhist Vajrayana as yidam, having visionary existence: Kali, for instance, becomes Tröma Nakmo. I appear on this list as a correspondent: but now I have to go and appear in the school playground as a father. At the same time I don't have to renounce one to embrace the other: they both continue in different contexts. If human beings can accomplish this without even thinking about it, I don't see why it should be so difficult for a god.
