Guest guest Posted October 12, 2001 Report Share Posted October 12, 2001 in hinduism today are the vedic and puranic gods looked at as coexisting, or have the puranic gods displaced the vedic gods? i am sure i'm displaying my ignorance by asking this, but i'll never know if i don't. and is surya related to vishnu? does ganesh have a precursor? one more question: i heard that the markings that some hindu people wear on their heads show their devotion to either shiva or vishnu. is this true? or is marking of the forehead more complex than this? do people wear any marks associated with ganesh? thanks, Bill Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
