Earlier on this message board I had mentioned a man who came into my store who

discovered my HANUMAN: MESSENGER OF GOD book laying on a table and had picked

it up to look at it. When I came back he was holding my book in his hands and

had it close to his face and he was just staring at it. <<<<< It must've have

reminded him of his roots and probably made him feel homesick too - just

assuming he's a migrant from India.

Well, I have been wondering about him alot. << You striked up a chord with him

on some level then...

Anyway, the other day, I saw him again in the cafeteria where he works. I would

really like to talk to him but I am wondering if I should. <<<<<< If you don't

try, you never know... Suggestion => "Test the waters" and start casually. Do

you eat at the cafetaria or get coffees or cake there sometimes? Good excuse

to say "hello" first. For all you know, the guy may be simply shy. Or had

been badly treated by others who may not share his beliefs nor understand his

culture, i.e. if he is Indian. When we approach someone new, if it turns out

pleasant, it may lead to wonderful friendships. If not, its not meant to be

and you know not to waste futher time. There is nothing to lose by casually

chatting him up and see as you go along....

I am just going to wait and see what happenes naturally. <<<<<< Encouraging you

to take the first step.

However, if I see him again and it seems natural I'll try and talk to him.<<<

When he is not busy working, would help.

I remember when he saw me come up he apologized for handling my book <<<<<

Sounds a sincere bloke with good manners to apologize.

and I told him not to worry. I said he could have it if he wanted, and then he

looked at me sort of suprised and asked it it was MY book. I told him sure but

I could order another copy. Anyway, he smiled and disappeared.<<<<< For all we

know, Hanuman may be close to his heart too.

I would love to talk to him again. But, maybe I'm thinking too hard.<<<<< Don't

think too hard, take action instead. Like Swamiji Ajnananda (Paul Skye from

Tantrism group) advised me once (blessed by his Darshan), "Don't take care,

take risks"!!

I hope you will find the guy as nice as he was when he was at your bookstore.
