Guest guest
Tonight at a Christmas party, I was able to talk to a gentleman about Ganesh and my experiences with the images of Ganesh which follwed me across the country. It was an amazing conversation, especially, with my Christian friends. He actually knew alot about Hinduism too. So, it was neat, us both sitting there talking about Ganesh in the middle of this Christmas party! another neat thing I must mention is that while at the party I was invited to hang some art in a local art gallery, which is actually a Mexican restaurant/gallery. Can't wait! Finally, I heard about some great Christian theology classes which I ahve decided to take beginning in January. I will be able to get a masters in theology by doing this. But my main goal is just further knowlege of my own tradition. I want to remain consistent in my own tradition as I continue to grow and explore other traditions. That ismy intention. I feel no need, like the Dalai Lama exhorts, to 'switch' religions. I feel that the tradition that I was raised in is perfectly good for me to stick with, although for me it enhances my own religion, to learn from the stories of Ganesh, and Hanuman, and Nanak and Avalokitesvara. Please pray for me as I begin hermeneutics classes in January! I am stoked! Bill
