Guest guest
Namaste All, Happy New Year,Iam sorry to report that I was unable to find any images of Adianta Prabhu during my shopping trip to Little India ( Los Angeles Calif. ) and no one seem to know of this combined form of Sri Ganesha and Hanumanji. I will have access to a scanner when I return to work on Jan 7th I will then learn how to scan and post the photo to e-mail ( from Ms Thapan's book ) so please bear with me until then....I will do this ASAP !!! I went to my local temple last night for Sankatahara Chathurthi ( Homa,Abhishekam and Archana )to Sri Ganesha as Sankatahara Ganesha the Dispeller of Sorrows this event takes place once a month near the end of each month. I asked the priest about Adianta Prabhu but they too were unfamilier with this murthi. So when I go to the next Sankatahara Chathurthi( jan-31 ) I have been asked to bring the photo to show them.Apparently this form is very rare. Bill I like your drawing very much and will print it out and add it to the collection on my altar if that is ok with you.I spent New Year's Eve making music with my band mates and New Year's Day my friend Bob and I made our way home stopping at several temples for darshan a nice to start the year 2002, Hindu year 5103 Vrisha the year of Vigor. Well I will close here wishing everyone Peace and Love All Around...Jai Sri Ganesha !!! Om Shanti Lambodara Das

That is so kind of you brother. Thanks for all your searching. Surely you will be rewarded for your searching. >I went to my local temple last night for Sankatahara > Chathurthi ( Homa,Abhishekam and Archana )to Sri Ganesha as > Sankatahara Ganesha the Dispeller of Sorrows this event takes place > once a month near the end of each month. Wow! I love this! This amazes me! I asked the priest about >Bill I like your drawing very much and will print it out > and add it to the collection on my altar if that is ok with you. I would be more than honored. I made it hoping it would be for spiritual edification of others. May God bless you. > I spent New Year's Eve making music with my band mates What kind of band. Do you have a website, Lambodara? >and New Year's > Day my friend Bob and I made our way home stopping at several temples for darshan a nice to start the year 2002, Hindu year 5103 Vrisha the year of Vigor. I have a question about darshan. Is it customary to refer to darshan only in a ceremonial sense, or is darshan possible in meeting other people? I may not have a full understanding here. I feel like I experience darshan many times throughout the day. I am thinking too broadly here. My first experiences with God through the Ganesh murthi were totally God's doing. I never sought out Ganesh's image, but those images sort of chased me across the country and back. Is this darshan, in a non-ceremonial sense? Just wondered. I think God lives in every being.
