Thursday 03 January 2002: Daily Sangbad – In the village of

Chitalmari subdistrict under Bagherhat district, notorious cadres of

ruling party went on rampage. The scoundrels gang raped five minority

women and tormented the victims in a primitive manner. A gang of 10

to 12 miscreants under the command of terrorist Omar Ali attacked the

house of Prafulla Biswas in the Khagrabunia village at Tuesday

evening. There was no man available at house during the rampage. The

vicious brigands first destroyed the vegetation in the backyard of

the house. While women at domicile went to stop them from rampage,

miscreants attacked Ms. Jouel (18), Ms. Sadhana (14), Kamana (13) and

their mothers Shuruchi and Anima. They forcefully unclothed the

victims and started molesting them in primitive manner. Seriously

wounded Shuruchi and Anima were sent to Khulna medical college

hospital.

 

When asked Chitalmari police regarding this atrocity, the in charge

at the police station completely denied any knowledge of such

incident. While police is reluctant to arrest the scoundrels, the

miscreants are threatening for dare consequence if victims's families

file any case against them.

22 Hindu Women Raped, Forced to Walk Naked In Public

Patuakhali, Bangladesh

R eporters could not control their tears while listening to the Hindu

women who have become victims of rape and torture in Patuakhali

district of Bangladesh. On October 3, 2001, Right wing Muslim

fundamentalists armed with lethal weapons attacked Hindu residents

during the dark of night in Kachipara village of Patuakhali district.

The unarmed people were unable to resist the Muslim fanatics. Women

were raped throughout the night and made to walk nude in the market

the next morning. The fanatics also urinated in their mouths when

these defenceless women, being thirsty were begging for water.

 

Barbarism, nepotism, arson and looting are prevalent everywhere

and has reached fearsome proportions. An lederly Muslim gentelman

remarked, ``Curse and destruction will soon befall on this country.

Allah will not forgive the Kafers (unholy miscreants) who are

torturing the Hindu women and creating such wide spread violence.''
