I am so happy. I had been thinking about a particualar image of Rama

and company for my home. I was starting to feel that I wanted one.

But, as is my habit, I don't make a big issue of those things. So, I

just gave it to God and said I'll let everything happen the way it

should. Today I was given the exact image I had been hoping for,

fully framed and mounted on a stand. Later I found out it came from a

place of Hindu worship. Apparently, the image had been used until

some statues had been installed and they gave this image to a friend

of mine. Now it has come to my home. I am so happy. Also, given to me

at the same time, was a larger clay statue of Hanuman. I already have

one. In honor of these gifts and the presence of God in my home I am

playing Baba Hanuman by Krishna Das before I go to bed. We also had

some sage here and lit the sage and respectfully installed the images

in the house. Then I was able to tell my friend some stories about

Hanuman.

Just wondering, I had an impulse to get a flower garland to place

around the picture frame, but I wondered if that would be appropriate

or disrespectful. I am not good w protocol. I just go with what is in

my heart. As a Catholic we would be able to do such devotional

practices to our images.

Blessings, Bill

Bill'

HI. Yes a garland is a great idea. Just one ritualistic thing, make

sure the flowers you put in the garland are fresh (have not been used

for any other purpose). I made this mistake in INdia, I put some

flowers on a god which had been used for some other thing and I

highly offended someone.

Well, Interestingly SIta's birthday is on May 1, and so is mine! Not

sure what that means for me :)
