An explosion of new religons will shake the 21st century" by Toby Lester Sri Ganesha is sanwhiched in-between Yahweh/Jehovah on His right and a Babylonian diety on His left. Lord Buddha and another "Asian"diety appear also. The article itself was less informative then I would have wished for but interesting none the less. Feb 2002 issue Jennifer, The modaka recipes that I have do not call for chickpea/garbonzo.these recpies are found in the book" Loving Ganesha" The recipes for the sweet called laddu require as the prime ingredient chickpea/garbonzo flour. I don't think I have ever tasted the sweet you called your very fave...you made it seem very tasty !!! I also enjoyed your Ganesha memories. Yes He does guide and protect. Sy and Rick, Thanks for the great links, Ganapati bhajans are hard to find in stores so now I can have a idea of what to look for or order. I 'm always up for learning new mantras. I must say that i really enjoy "cyber sadhana" ( vitual puja, dashana and satsang ) Here is a link that may have been posted before www..com which features a english translation of the 1 and 2nd chapter of the Ganesha Purana as well as other Ganapati lore.
