Guest guest Posted January 26, 2002 Report Share Posted January 26, 2002 Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, will be releasing a special audio album, both in the cassette and CD format, on 4th December 2001, the occasion being ANGARAKI SANKASHTI, a day of great significance to the devotees of Lord Ganesha. This audio cassette / CD will comprise of various potent Ganesh mantras and stotras, which help the faithful in coping with the problems thrown up by day to day life. Traditional in nature, it is believed that chanting of these stotras with absolute faith and devotion will invoke the help of Lord Ganesha to face up to the problems on hand. The mantras and stotras are as follows: Sarva mangal karak Ganesha Dwadasha nama stotram Suraksha Pradayak Ganesh Nyas from Mudgal Purana The Siddhivinayak Mantra (21 avartans) Lakshmi Pradayak Siddha Laksmi Ganapati Stotram with dhyana Vighna Niwarak Siddhi Vinayak Stotram Rin Harta Ganesh Mantra & Stotram Traditional aarti (Sukha karta) Although the stotrams are set to music, the purity of their metre (chhanda) and diction is not compromised with. The lead singers are Ravindra Sathe and Sadhana Saragam. Mantra chanting is by Pt. Brahmashankar Vyas. The album has a narrative commentary explaining the significance of each stotram or mantra. Separate albums are available with Marathi and Hindi narration, respectively. The Marathi narration is by the noted film, television and theatre personality, Shri Vikram Gokhle. The Hindi narration is by Pt. Vinod Sharma, the doyen of Hindi voice over artistes. There will also be a CD comprising of 108 avartans of the Siddhivinayak mantra for those devotees who have a desire for such an album. The Trust has priced these albums very moderately; the cassette at Rs 40 per pc and CD at Rs 100 per pc. These albums will be available only inside the Siddhivinayak Temple premises at Prabhadevi, and not sold anywhere else. For the devotees who wish to have them on the Angaraki Sankashti, ie, 4th December 2001, they will be made available from the 3rd December, at the Temple premises. Devotees are requested to book their copy in advance before 28th November 2001 at the Temple, and collect their copies against the cash receipt.
