Guest guest
Lillith, Don't worry if you are praying or offering rightly or wrongly, Believe me GANESHA IS LISTENING. He is always helping us, especially if we least expect it. He doesn't care if you offer things in anyway, at least you are doing it from your heart, that is all that matters! Also, I wanted to tell a funny story. Once when I came home from India in summer 2000 I gave a small ganesha statue to my mom. When I came back to India, IN sept during ganesha chathurthi (birthday) I emailed my mom and told her to put some fruit in front of ganesha and flowers. She wrote me one month later and asked me if she could move them yet! It hadn't occured to me that she thought offering meant not taking it back for yourself! Which is what it is meant to do.. well.. that is all for now I am sure your situation will come to some kind solution soon.. have you made any headway ... ? Guest guest
Dear Jennifer, I love your story... I did a similar thing when I first put up my statues. My fiance had to tell me some things 8-). Once I put some lovely cherries on the altar for Ganesh %-) Well they were there for a long time and my fiance said that I should not waste the offerings it would be disrespectful so I ate the cherries.. they were very dry and chewy... I think my fiance felt sorry for me when he saw me trying to choke down the dried up cherries. Today I have a mango there because I read that Lord Ganesh's favorite fruit is mango. The other night I went to dinner at an Indian restuarant here where we have become friends with the owners. They go to India often and I asked them to bring me a statue of Ganesh. They brought me a beautiful statue carved from sandalwood, all one piece of sandalwood. It took my breath away. My friend whom I had dinner with admired one of the other statues they had brought back. Well I bought it for him and surprised him. He said he was going to put it on his mantel, like an altar. I told him a little about Ganesh so I think it will be nice for both my friend and Ganesh 8-). Here is what is happening with the house so far... they said they wanted to go to arbitration. When you file a lawsuit against someone as they have with me you must let the courts decide. Well I want this to work out so I gave them permission to take it to an arbitrator, who is a retired judge to decide. We had found a very good one and agreed to all their terms, trying to work this out. Well after all that they say "oh we changed our minds". Now we are back in court again. My lawyer is very upset. It's like they are teasing us just because they can. We have offered to walk away and they have refused that as well. I don't understand them. It may sound strange but I feel like they are enjoying what they do. This is the oddest situation I have ever been in... one minute they act like victims and then they act like aggressors. I am not sure what to do expect to pray and ask for prayers from others. Sometimes I am at a lose as to what to pray for 8-). Maybe someone knows a mantra I can say? with love & gratitude, lilith , "vaayel" <vaayel> wrote: > Lillith, > Don't worry if you are praying or offering rightly or wrongly, > Believe me GANESHA IS LISTENING.
