Guest guest
Hi Group I have noticed something interesting about Bills drawing of Ganesha I posted on my website at http://members.tripod.com/~jennifer_polan/hinduism/ganeshstory.html If you look at the top right and left corners, you will see a swastika. For those who are unaware, the swastika originated in India (it's term is sanskrit) and has been associated with Hindus and Buddhists before Hitler 'stole' it. Anyhow, see the below link to learn about the different swastikas. For instance in Bill's pic you can see he drew one swastika in one direction and the other in another direction. THis has a meaning! Bill, did you know that! If you did that is awesome, maybe you can explain more to us later after your computer is fixed (than what is on the below URL). http://www.cs.mcgill.ca/~preety/history/swastika.html Enjoy, Jen
Guest guest
The swastika/sunwheel is also found on memorial stones in Scandinavia dating back to the migration era(5-7th centuries). The sun is also a very important symbol in Norse mythology. Cheers, Scott

I'm glad maybe that you were touched to see that. I certainly remember it being sort of an intuitive thing, like as I drew it. I recall feeling like it would be more balanced if one were going the other way. You know depending where you are in the world, the water circulates different ways as it goes down the drain. There is something about that balance in nature. Glad you got a kick out of this. Much love, Bill
