Guest guest
Hi all! Sorry for not writing lately. I was out of town for last two weeks. I went to visit an American girl friend of mine who is marrying an Indian. We had a great time - watched a few Hindi and Tamil films- with subtitles and enjoyed the local Hindu Temple. If you get a chance you should see the Hindi film Lagaan with Aamir Khan - it is about cricket in India. It is quite nice. Also we saw Tamil film - Avargal from 1970s. It has two famous actors- kamal hassan and rajnikanth. We had with subtitles:) Hence I could understand. Anyone in US interested in seeing Indian films can go to indianmovies.com if you have DVD, they post through mail, it is a good service. Lambodara, I have posted your Mahasivaratri experience on my site- check if you want me to change anything, here is URl http://members.tripod.com/~jennifer_polan/submissions/mahasivaratri.ht ml By the way, 28th March was Holi- Happy Holi Ramanavami is coming by 21st April and Tamil New Year and Ugadi (Telugu new year) fall about April 14. Bye for now, Jennifer
Guest guest
Hi Jennifer! Great to have you back! Nice to hear you had a wonderful 2 weeks out of town seeing your friend who's marrying an Indian and catching some Hindi and Tamil movies, ya lucky gal! Wish I was there too! Been a long time since I saw one sitting in one of Calcutta's cinemas with bug-infested seats (1980) watching all the vibrant dancing and those sagas with twisty turns and dramatic suspenses which made the bug bites tolerable. Reading back on your trip to Chennai, I now have visions of wanting to go live in South India one day. Perhaps even retire there if Ganesh be willing! (Just day-dreaming here :-) Hope you'll come by more often. You were missed. Om Shanti, Sy ******* , "vaayel" <vaayel> wrote: > Hi all! > Sorry for not writing lately.
