Guest guest
i myself have gone from being Methodist to being Catholic. However, in doing so I felt it was more of an organic process and not any kind of forced conversion. The conversion that I found important was in my heart. If you change your religious form but have no ongoing conversion or change in your heart what good is it? it is so easy to get lost in the outer forms of things. one thing i like about this site is that i have never felt pressure from anyone to cease being a christian and i think that is fine since to me, truth isn't provincial. that is why when i began to learn more about ganesh it blew me away to see the concepts of my own religion alive and well in another religion. we don't see it perfectly. we are all getting different angles on it. that's o.k. my job isn't to be 100% perfect all the time. anyway, i just want to say that i have enjoyed my ganesh family just as much as i enjoy my catholic family here in Tampa. to me i receive alot of the same things from both. so i guess i am trying to say that i go for the inner conversion of the heart, which is what all the mystics usually get to anyway. i see those elements in the people i meet here as well as in my friends of various religous backgrounds. blessings, bill
