Guest guest
Namaste Ric! Thanks a lot for sharing with me your concerns about this issue...sometimes it is good to feel that you are not the only "crazy" one trying to cook a cake with different ingredients! It did actually "worry" me to some extent this apparent contradiction between the idea of Ganesha and Buddhism...but nontheless, love is more powerfull than apparent contradictions in traditions so if we do love Ganesha, I feel it doesn´t damage on the least our way of walking on the path... As the matter of fact, I don´t know if I make a mistake but I consider Ganesha to be a Buddha aswell as he represents aswell the qualities of an enlightened being, God or demi-God. Besides, if Ganesha represents the Self, our inner self, and we are walking towards enlightment and buddhahood, then, Ganesha represents that goal that we have on our path, and therefore he embodies those qualities that we are trying to work on to "achieve". (there´s nothing to achieve on an absolute level, but yes there is on a relative one). Thanks once more for sharing your thoughts and feelings Love Barbara
