Guest guest
Namaste Stark!, Well the only thing I can tell you about this matter, Ganesha´s trunk being in the right side is this: -In some sources, the trunk is associated to the kundalini energy and if the trunk is either left or right, it would be pointing at the right nadi or the left nadi (if the trunk points upwards, towards the third eye, it would mean that the kundalini energy is flowing properly and the process is completed). The left nadi would be associated to the Moon and femenine side and the right to the Sun and masculine side of our being. -In a very special book we have found recently, called Ganapati, Song of the Self by John Grimes (State University of New York Press, 1995. Page 64) The statues of Sri Ganesha with the right side trunk are associated with Sri Siddhi Vinayaka of Siddaheck, the meaning is not extremely clear but what I seem to understand is that it symbolises fullfillment, achievement on a spiritual level, getting rid of ignorance and realising our true inner wisdom. The author associates it to the tat vam asi philosophy...or the advanta vedanta...That Thou Are.This book states that the trunk pointing to the right is very auspicious and implies some kind of secret esoteric practice or whorship, but nothing more is mentioned and I have not found more about this matter.
