Guest guest
Wonderful to have your Darshan always Len and much enjoyed your posts. Lol....! I've seen a couple of Tantra books from India about spell-casting and they sure contained more hexings than blessings! Much agree that though Ganesh removes obstacles, He also sets them up! Had that happen to me too, though not through selling crystal Ganeshas. Got to get this off my chest - I learnt somewhere that if a person experiences more obstacles and troubles the more one prays and devotes to his/her Ishta Devata, this means that our "bad karmas" accumulated from previous births, are being "burnt off" layer by layer (getting "purified") as we get closer to our Ishta Devata. Gotta also say the "purification process" can be overwhelming - the wrong things all happen at the wrong time; inner chaos........ Cultivating steel nerves, a thick hide, perserverence and patience was just about the only hope of salvation (at least in my case) through time. Then when the inner calm occurs, the blessings come flooding in. But the Lord sure makes one suffer the most intense and gruelling tests/trials before He considers the tribulations to come. Through those times, I oftened wondered when on earth (heaven or hell) would Ganesh relent and untangle His trunk from a stationary strangle round my neck. It was also miraculously flexible enough to produce some severe thumps on the head from time to time. Finally woke up one day to find Ganesh's trunk unfurled and raised to bestow a benevolent pat on the head, whew! That took all of 7 lengthy years of surrendering. Would I have traded them for all the tempting rewards life could have had in store? In hindsight, never. Am I right in assuming all that was a "purification process"? I may well be wrong. Any comments, experiences and wisdoms, friends, anyone? Would love to hear if you care to share. Thanks. I've only gotten onecomplaint -- I sold a customer a <smoky> quartz Ganesha (what was myimporter thinking?), and he complained that since he'd bought it, he wassuffering from writer's block! I suggested that he give the carving as agift to someone who was a rival writer... Ganesha, it should beremembered, not only removes obstacles -- sometimes he sets them up. -- Len/ Kalipadma Sign-up for Video Highlights of 2002 FIFA World Cup
