And being Yidam-chosen. No, you're right: it's not at all about being chosen

(i.e., a notion both salvific and destructive for the Jews, I think, and

downright malignant for the bible thumpers)...it's about being called upon to

get down to work. People who sit around being chosen should get off the pot.

They'll feel a lot better.

Recently I posted here about awaiting a rupa of Mahakala...well, it arrived

today, and turned out to be Hayagriva! The Seller was mistaken...but I

should, having seen the photo, caught his error. Well.. there's no doubt for

me this is an instance of yidam-choice....Hayagriva's, not your usual popular

deity, been coming and going in my reality for 20 years...it's especially

amusing that he should pop in this way: he/she (it's a yab/yum) is the

wrathful compassion that urges and ultimately forces one to burst through one's

crap. This energy, surely, is shared with Ganesh, the Obstacle-Buster, and

who's as caring as they come. Talk about "same energy"....

Of course all are subsumed in the ocean of Brahman (or sunyata, depending upon one's persuasion)....

Hi Scott, its funny you mention this choosing element, because yesterday going

to a meditation center, I was wearing a bag with a drawing of Ganesha on it,

and a kid, probably 8 years old stood in the subway almost five minutes

stearing at Ganesha in total absorption and concentration...he just couldn´t

take away his eyes from him....I started imagining what was Ganesha telling the

little boy during this short time of visual contact, because for sure, there was

somekind of message for him...(I also thought about the Dumbo connection

LOL)Yes, I do also feel that Ganesha chooses but it is not an ego choice to

make us say Oh yeah I am the choosen one, it is perhaps an openness that we

have decided to undergo, and then this small little door open gives the chance

to Ganesha to enter into our lives...I am sure he is there to all those who are

doing their best and perhaps he is aswell with those who are still trapped a bit

by the fears, the defensive mode of being and in that case, he just walks along

with them in a silent mode...In another level of things, well, Ganesha is

inside us, the same than his belly as being the container of the whole

universe...well our heart is that container, and Ganesha is inside...at some

point we loose that concept of inside/outside and there is not such a barrier

anymore...I once had an incredible spontaneous vision in a meditation and I

entered a cave, it was Ganesha´s cave. it was full of books, non writen books,

books to be writen. I sat in front of an underground lake and there was a sun

suspended in the lake so I looked at the sun and entered a deep meditation

state. Then I suddenly appeared in an egyptian ceremony and Thot took his mask

off and it was a woman with red curley hair, she said to me:(I then felt that

Thot was not a single person but a group of persons):"We are all the same

energy, but we choose different ways of expressing it".Back to the cave of

Ganesha once more, I saw Merlin the magician who gave me a gentle kick with his

magic stick in my head. He said the same."we are all the same energy, but we

choose different ways of manifesting it".I took no drugs I promise...but it was

a nice way of representing things at that point in my path...To from
