Welcome aboard!

Go to the file in the photos section called "Ganepati Upanishad". One of the

pages is devoted to the mantra and the pronounciation of GAM.

For me number of mantras is an ever changing thing - sometimes as little as

three, sometimes 108, sometimes 1008. I do keep a mala where I sleep and reach

for it every time I awake throughout the night and say mantras silently. This

leads to the most amazing dreams, some of which I think must be experiences on

the astral planes. Several teachers over the years have said this sleep work

is an excellent habit to form. I therefore commend it to you.

Dear Sadhak Friends,Namasakaram. I am new to this group. I have a small query

regarding the Ganesh Mantra. How do u pronounce the ganesh mantra ? is it "OM

GAM GANAPATAYE NAMAH " or "OM GUNG GANAPATAYE NAMAH ". Is there any difference

between the two or both are the same. Another query is how many times the above

mentioned mantras me recited for the mantra devata [Ganapati, in our case] to

be invoked and we can have his darshan and siddhis.Awaiting reply. Thanks

I think Ganesha gets the message not depending on our level of

pronunciation but on our intentions and attitudes...

I personaly pronounce it this way: Om gum ganapatei namaha (read it in

spanish since I am spanish)

Best wishes and welcome on board

Ever hear the one about the old lady who'd spent years praying "OM

MANI PADME OX"??? When she left her body, rainbows filled the sky...

Ramakrishna says not to fuss about such things...pointing out that a

newborn kitten doesn't how to meow properly but its mother hears it

just the same.
