Guest guest
Thank you Scott for the Ganesha Chaturthi image. It was as if Sri Ganapathy is seated amid the spheres, worlds and lokas of the universe while attending penguins gazed in awe struck wonder. Jai Sri Scott !!! On Ganesha Chaturthi I took the morning off from work to attend Ganesha Homa and Abhishekam at the Malibu Temple. I brought the murthi from my home altar to be blessed. Imagine my surprise and delight when the priest placed the murthi on the altar beside the Ganesha Kalasa where it remain through out the puja and homa. I hope everyone felt as happy and blessed as I did that day. I recall a recent request for the moola mantras of Bhakta Ganapathy etc. I have what I understand to be english translations of the sanskrit, however what I have does not contain the transliterations word for word. I can post what I have if you wish. Borther Bill, It is nice to know you are well, your words and thoughts make me smile. Sister Jennifer, long time..no hear...I trust all is well with you... Welcome to the family all you new ones. As I am very busy with classes and work I've not had much time to post as often as I would like. Blessings to Sy for holding us all together. May our Lord Ganapathy Bless us all, May all obstacles be removed, May we all live in the Light. Peace and Love All Around. Guest guest
You got it. I too was thinking many lokas and multi-dimensions when I was splashing out that image...and it was A TON OF FUN to work on. I still don't know how all the penguins got into the act. But that's ok. I like penguins. But I've totally lost my ability to think of Ganesha in any way limited by time or space....or even one culture...just can't think of Him as soley "Indian" or "Hindu" any more...though I do think, right now, He's one of India's most fabulous exports.
