Guest guest
Hi - I saw a description of ganesh that described him as the god of reading. Is this true? I've never heard of a god for my favorite activity before and would like to learn more. Input? Thanks, Jill

Guest guest
Oh yeah, God of reading...of music and poetry too...Ganesh was the stenographer who took down the MAHABARATA ............. Hmmmm, I guess by this train of thought would could assume that Ganesha was a god of words and speech in general. I just thought how nicely this ties in with AUM. Since AUM in the mantra of Ganesha and is said before all other mantras like Ganesha is worshipped before all other gods it fits rather nicely. I'm thinking if AUM is Ganesha and Ganesha is a lord of words then it ties in nicely with the idea that AUM contains all the letters and all sounds-makes sense to me.
