Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this with us.... Interesting... If you happen to chance across more on bells, would love to hear more. Aum Ganesh, Sy wikramsrinivas wrote: Hello folks, I came upon this in a book; its related to sound (Nada) and thus I think its related to bells also. This is from the Uttara Gita and is in the form of question and answer: "All letters with their mantras merge into the Bindu, the Bindu penetrates into the Nada; into what does the Nada merge?"The answer: " Inside 'Nada' which is the supreme state of the Anahata sound, is hidden the self-luminous; in that luminosity the mind is hidden; and where that mind dissolves there is the Supreme station of Vishnu." And here is an interesting fact.I read this article in a magazine. There is an old temple of Lord Shiva in a little town about some 100 kms from the city of Bangalore (South India). Its speciality is that there is a Bell which is sculpted out of solid stone and is secured to the ceiling. It is said to weigh over a ton. And moreover it lacks a tongue - which makes it difficult to sound. The sculptor's name and the reason for this special stone bell -all remain a mystery. The temple remains silent most of the time as the devotees who come here are very few. Both the Lord of this shrine and this unique bell are free from the noisy world.regards,Vikram Faith Hill - Exclusive Performances, Videos, &; more faith.
