Guest guest
Two messages posted here (I'm not going to say which ones, sparing the senders superfluous guilt trips) in the last 24 hours arrived, not only here where they should have arrived, but in my Bulk Mail folder as well. The ones that arrived here are harmless. But: I immediately deleted the Bulk Mail messages and urge you all to do the same. There is a computer virus going around here in the U.S. which is doing screwy things with people's email...and very unpleasant things to their hard drives. Beware of messages received here reappearing in Bulk Mail. Beware. They may very well be tainted. Unless you have the most recently updated versions of Norton or MacAfee, do not even think of opening them from that folder. If you do have the most recently updated versions, go ahead an open them up -- but expect the you-know-what to hit the fan. (For those whose first language may not be English, the equivalent of "you-know-what" in French is "merde." And I'm talking about an electric fan.) Just the other day Sy & I were discussing a duplicate mail from a temple in India. That duplicate arrived in my Bulk Mail folder too...I deleted at once. At the risk of insulting the intelligence and computer skills of this list's members, please do NOT open emails from names you do not recognize and NEVER (as in NEVER) open an attachment with the suffix ".exe" and especially beware of emails that arrive twice, the second time in a folder where they do not belong.
