How do u pronounce the ganesh mantra ? is it "OM GAM GANAPATAYE NAMAH " or "OM

GUNG GANAPATAYE NAMAH ". << Sankrit is something difficult to pronouce properly

unless someone spends time studying it.

"Gam" pronounced in the English "a" - the sounds of these are equivalent to some

Indian words for "grief". In my experience thru the years using "Gam"

literally, GRIEF was rampant. Until I began using "Gung" (pronounced "Goong"),

life became smooth sail and I haven't looked back since.

Actually it was Shri Rajatyboy who educated me about "Goong" (thanks Rajatjeee!)

In any case, when the heart is pure and the devotion sincere, the Lord hears all

and no matter how you pronounce it, He is forgiving.

Another query is how many times the above mentioned mantras me recited for the

mantra devata [Ganapati, in our case] to be invoked and we can have his darshan

and siddhis.

If you are a beginner, try 108 times in one sitting at the same hour each day.

Within 30 to 40 days, you will see signs that the Lord has heard you.

(In my case, on the 38th day, my altar went up in flames to the ceiling but

nothing was burnt. And I saw white clad feet running around my place. It was

Ganesha's ganas setting things straight. A bathroom light that was out for 3

years miraculously turned itself on and continues to be fine to this day.)

Aauumm Ganesh
