Guest guest
Oh, hell, I bet 5 bucks she's prancin' around in your heart too....<<<<< I dare say (pls don't mind me Rajatyboy) Kali's been in his heart the day he was conceived.Ground Zero in NYC...was blasted out by fire more than once...once in the 1600's and again during our Revolution...whole streets disappeared then just as now...it hit me the other evening that this is a charnel ground of some age...and that Kali has probably been hanging out here ever since when....I often visited that neighborhood over weekends for years...not because of the Twin Towers (which, it should be admitted, were second-rate architecture) but because it is one of the more interesting vortices of Manhattan Island (which has many vortices - that's why the city is so alive). Kali there, of course Shiva and Ganesha and a host of other Sacred Ones are there too, albeit not in a recognizeable Hindu form....though that's changing too...since NYC Hindus have been here now for generations and have temples wherever they like...anway, I'm pretty sure Ground Zero is one of Kali's neighborhoods...<<<<<< Succinct observations - It sure adds up to being Kali's ground, only I wish it didn't happen the way it did. In Bali (that beach + nightclub neighborhood) too. Bali is the only Agama Hindu stronghold in the whole Indonesian Archipaelago (predominantly Moslem) with a sprinkling of Catholics, Christians and Buddhists (all keep low profiles). Any inkling of Borobudur in Java? Ruins/remains of a long lost Hindu kingdom can be found there. Long history of past glories.
