Regarding fetishes, you can buy them on line; that's easy. And some very good

Hopi people carve fine fetishes all the time. I don't put that down.

But I think for a magician like you, a more intimate involvement is demanded.

When you're walking about, pay closer attention to the rocks and the stones whom

you meet. They're all a form of consciousness. Sooner or later you're going to

find one that looks like a wolf or looks like an owl. If your magick is really

at work, you'll find more than one. Stones found, take them home. Do whatever

you like to make them more wolf- or owl-like. Keep a few for your home...but

(and here is where the magick really kicks in) take one or two and put them

somewhere outside...to honor Owl or to honor Wolf (any spirit animal can be so

honored). Leave a bit of something or other that you think will please them and

move on...knowing that you are indeed moving on...but a bit less alone than

before. Owl or Wolf will be more noticeably with you. (I am NOT making this up,

btw; this is how an extraordinary fetish carver works...one in touch with the

spirits of those who went before.) If you go to the libe and get a book on

fetishes, you'll note at once that the older ones become very rock-like. That's

because they ARE rocks, messed with as little as possible. The reason you can't

buy them is very few people are willing to sell them.

Forgive me for posting this publicly but I sense a few people reading along who

can use this info too.

Of course it's entirely possible to find a Ganapati in stone. Or any other

God-Expression that works for you. I think at that point you leave the world of

fetish and enter the world of "self-emerged"...but I've often thought it's not

possible to enter that world without a spirit animal's help.

You've seen the Happy Ganapati by now. His mouse fetish has spent 3 or 4 days

with him at this point, and is waking up. You can tell when a fetish awakens:

it starts feeling like a creature alive. This fetish is a carved Hopi one.
