Guest guest
Here's a Crowley Ganesh... > Theres a Ganesh in the Thoth deck?? I am glad there are others here who know what that is! It's is very good for us as Western mystics to know no limitations and borrow the best from any tradition we can find!!! I know thats how I got where I am now and I have a pic of Aleister Crowley on my wall still! He was my hero when I was a boy and although I am now very much into this Hindu current I never forget my priors Guru's and the many lights that have helped guide me along. Crowley was a great opener of gates and doors a Shamanic trickster and and some some ways much like Ganesh!!!! Dear Friends................ I am off to live in Bengal for six months. My plane trip begins Monday night. I am going to live with the Baul sect in Calcutta. You may have heard of them??? They are essentially mystic musicians who treat music as devotion and are all about reaching ecstatic states through music and dance. This should be a great experience for me. At 24 years old this is even my very first plane trip!!!! So I am going to live in Calcutta with the Bauls as well as continue studying Tabla only now even much better than before! Aside from this I am getting a tutor to learn Bangla. This is all a blessing from Ganesha!!! Tomorrow I am giving him some fruits and incense as a thank you., Wish me luck and I will post any unique things I find while I am there! It seems in the big Indian cities these days there are internet cafes everywhere so it should be easy. Take Care, William
