Guest guest
Thanks for these mantras, I liked the Garuda, Nandi and Narayana and Narasimha ones. Thank you. I am getting to the point where I think of Vishnu all the time whenever I think of his incarnations. I think of these incarnations when I think of situations that call for their distinct characters. Then I see Vishnu in these different lights. Also, I don't know if I mentioned my Narasimha dream, but I had dreamt that I was in a place, not sure where, where many people, Hindus, Muslims and Christians were gathered. Many people had seen Narasimha appear. It was amazing! Some people were being healed but mainly there was a sudden peace among all people of different religions. I think that there were hard times as well, but this sudden appearance of Narasimha was bringing people to tenacious focus on setting priorities and dwelling in peace. I knew that this was an incarnation of Vishnu, but to some Christians in the dream they were recalling that God is known to them in a lion form too. Then, when I awoke I jetted for my book which shows Vishnu's incarnations since I knew one was lion-headed. It was amazing. In the dream I was with many Muslim and Hindu women and I was the only Catholic there and we were all talking about Narasimha and although we did not all agree on the nature of Narasimha, we all agreed that God had been present with us. The Rishis of the yore composed different Mantras on the same meter as that of Gayatri on different manifestations of God. Twenty of them are given below. These twenty are apart from the Vaidika Gayatri - Om Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Pracodayat. > > Though the complete import of the mantras cannot be given, the implied and closest translations are given against each mantra. > > Ganesa GayatriNarasimha Gayatri Narayana GayatriMahalakshmi GayatriKali or Devi Gayatri Brahma GayatriHamsa GayatriAgni GayatriSurya GayatriDurga Gayatri > > 1 Ganesa Gayatri > > Om Ekadantaya vidhmahe > Vakratundaya dhimahi > Tanno dantih pracodayat > > May we realise Lord Ganesa.
