Guest guest
Billy brotherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr big hugs to you!!!! tons of kisses... I feel at home here in this forum where people show their love and respect and good sens of humour!. As you said, my spiritual practices sometimes may be different from the rest of the members, but this doesn´t trully matter. I feel deeply that we are all trying to do our best in wich ever path we have chosen to walk, working within ourselves to unfold our true nature, either with hinduism, christianity, buddhism or whatever spiritual tradition is chosen. If spirituality doesn´t unite us as human beings and on the contrary divides us and create hate, anger or duality, then it its not whorthy to enter the spiritual path or then, it is because we are totally misunderstanding the teachings given by our own particular paths. Spirituality for me is about realising who we are not and who we are, its about openess towards myself and towards the rest of my fellows brothers and sisters of the world. Its about love, kindness, compassion, friendship, help...its about letting go of the ego system, that wich divides us, its about watching and observing how the ego system works and how it tries to trap us in what we are not, creating divisions and wars inside ourselfs and between people. I am in this forum because I love Ganesha. I don´t particularily feel Hindu, nor Christian, but I think I connect with Jesus´s teachings aswell. I have decided to choose the buddhist path as a way to achieve enlightenment because buddhism is beneficial for me, but I also know that enlightenment can be achieved with other paths. Creating wars due to being in a different spiritual path or having different ideas only shows you that those who fight are attached to their path, their teachings, their views, and attachements are no good because they will keep you caught by the neck with no freedom. A path is a finger pointing at the moon, a raft taking you on the other side, but once there you have to let go of all that. If not, heaviness on your legs, big black metal balls as the prisoners of Alcatraz. If someone is not respecting you in a forum, well probably its because you represent the side of themselves that they are not respecting. You act for those people as a mirror where they can reflect those inner problems they have. Don´t blame them, I know you don´t do so, and don´t feel sad either. Its the only thing they could come up with, and that is their own level of understanding at this moment in time. I am sure they will improve this in the future. As Jesus did when someone kick him, give them the other cheek. This for me doesn´t mean to become a martyr, but it means not to react to the theater play or game someone is performing in front of you. Awareness and non compulsive reaction to an atack is a good basis to start cultivating inner wisdom and compassion. Tons of love Barbara
