Guest guest
Namaste Jamie, The pleasure is much mine, no need to thank me. Ask away, no probs mate (seeing you're from WA, hope you won't mind me using some Ozzy lingo at times :-) Seeing you've come here to this little Ganesh Family, know that your so-called 'ignorance' is all but an illusion. You took the first step, now the 'old layers' are gradually falling off to pave the way for a new 'Jamieji' under the auspiciousness of Lord Ganesha. Know that not everyone here knows everything (even I learn something new everyday and everyone here are also my teachers. Let's just say we're all students and teachers, no duality, no division, we are all one). Again about specific prayers, refer to Messages 2152 & 2153. Better still, click on back messages and find Neil Campbell's postings. He is by far the greatest teacher of all here (I bow deeply to his Lotus Feet). Different hymns for different reasons/seasons, please also check out Neil's previous postings. In one or two, he'd shared a site with enough info to satisfy just about every palate for that. If you desire to pray to Krishna, get on the search engine and find out all about Krishna, then dedicate yourself. Depending on which traditon or school of thought, some seekers simply pray to just the one God/dess (be it Ganesh, Krishna, Shiva, Lakshmi, Kali Ma, etc.) During pujas, religious rites or ceremonies, many first pray to Ganesha before the others. Any Krisha devotees here? Please kindly come forward and share, thanks. About prayers, meanings and 'procedures', all these will dawn on you with time, practice and faith. Please Jamie, there's no need to praise people like me (I'm just another humble seeker, older in years than you but not neccessarily wiser). If you (or any individual) desire 'change' in life, that 'change' has to come from within you. As you progress step by step, you will achieve a sort of 'transformation'. When you do, you have to thank yourself for having the courage to make the endeavour in the first place. In thanking yourself, you are also honoring the divinity within you ( for example: Barbaraji said it very succinctly with Namaste). In any case, again the pleasure is all mine/ours here (time permitting since I can't get online some days due to other commitments). And to be able to 'help', even in a small way, is a great blessing. Best wishes and May Ganesha guide you, Sy , "Jamie <suckitau>" <suckitau> wrote: > Namaste Sy, > > I thank you so very much for your advice on the matter. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing Barbjee, absolutely beautifully insightful and one which I feel each time "Namaste" is used. Yours, 'Zy' :-)) , "aqesa <aqesa>" <aqesa> wrote: > Hi Jamie and Zy > > I love the word Namaste and specially I love this translation of its > meaning: > > "I honour in you the divinity that I honour within myself and now we > ARE ONE"... > > Beautiful ein??? > > indeed it is a very complete holy salutation > > Love > Barbara
