Guest guest
Namaste Barbji, Sorry I've been away for a long time. One of my relatives recently passed on and there was much to organize (hospital, coroner's court, burial service, wake, etc.). Never bored with our cyber Ganesh Family here. Maybe our other brothers and sisters are all busy with their respectives lives. I heard this Year 2003 is a 'year of change' for many. About Muladhara chakra: As you well know, it means "root support". This chakra is situated at the base of the spine in the coccygeal region. It is physically manifested through gonads and the pelvic plexus (testes and ovaries). This chakra is said to influence the legs and has a relation to the sense of smell. It is know that psychic power could be enhanced through concentration (dharana) upon the chakra zones. An example of working with the Muladhara chakra: You can perform Ganesha Puja, then meditate upon the Bija mantra for this chakra: "LuNG" (audible). The inaudible sound is "LuM" for those who perform 'mental worship' or 'internal worship'. Psychological attributes of the Muladhara are: Solidarity, cohesiveness and integration. Like I said, this is only an example. You can use your intuition about what sort of practice you would like to do. Shri Ganeshayaji will guide you along the way. As there are many traditions and as many millions of different ways of working on chakras (depending on the individual, tradition, guru, etc.), each has their own practice. Or if they don't have a physical guru to guide them, they simply develop their own way. As Lord Ganesha is also "Lord of the Cosmos", He is near the human realm, He sees all and hears all. Hope this little bit of info helps. To other Friends on this List, please can you share some input, comments, experiences and wisdoms with us about Muladhara? Thank you.
