Whether orange, white or red is a matter of personal or spiritual preference. With some suppliers, you can specify the color of the thread you prefer. Whether humble or rough, does not matter. Your mala reminds me of my very long lotus seed mala (sacred to MahaLakshmi). Due to the huge beads, the length is very long of course.
