Guest guest
I am in search for information about the rules and regulations one has to follow for practice of sannyas. Living in Europe there is no possiblity for me to take formal sannyas, however, this is not important, important is to follow the rules and regulations a sannyasi(ni) has to follow. Has someone information? Are there spiritual texts where the rules for sannyasis/sannyasinis are described?
Guest guest
Hi Alexandra, Every of the 10 classical schools have their respective traditions, rules and regulations for Sanyasins. It is best to contact the school toward which you are inclined, to make enquiries directly. They would probably suggest to you what texts to read concerning their tradition. Meantime, maybe you can try the Mahatma Upanishad though I'm not sure which parts. In the book "Dancing With Siva" there are a few pages about sannyasa. This book is by Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami (Himalayan Academy). May you find what you seek, Sy , "Alexandra Kafka" <alexandra.kafka@a...> wrote: > I am in search for information about the rules and regulations one has to follow for practice of sannyas. > Living in Europe there is no possiblity for me to take formal sannyas, however, this is not important, important is to follow the rules and regulations a sannyasi(ni) has to follow. > Has someone information? > Are there spiritual texts where the rules for sannyasis/sannyasinis are described?
