Guest guest
I have just been invited to an Indian wedding at the temple near me, I do not have any dressy clothes so I will have to buy something-what is appropriate for this. I do not know the people getting married, a friend of mine was invited, as he knew i would love to go so he is bringing me as his date-PLEASE give me advice as what to wear/buy. It is in the end of this month. Also what is an appropriate wedding gift for this occasion? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thank you Keri There is nothing more pure than the love of an animal. Guest guest
Namaste Keri, Just wear what you feel comfortable in, that looks nice. There isn't any need to wear a sari or kameez style clothing for the occasion. But let your intuition decide. Adorn yourself with some jewelry too. For a wedding gift, can your friend ask the family what would be appropriate or what the couple would like? Its is not easy to answer this question as there are factors that need to be taken into consideration such as: family background, caste, whether they are from North or South India, to what extent are they're traditional after living in the West for x-amount of time; are they first, second or third generation, etc. etc. Your friend who is a friend of the family, would be the best person to advise you as he is taking you to the auspicious occasion.
