Guest guest
Mine is dancing Ganesh. I see Him as a twisted (three twist) form exemplified by a seventh century sandstone carving. And also I see Him as a dancing form like in the Halebid (sp?) Temple. The reason I think of Lord Ganesh this way is simply because when I close my eyes this is how I see him - no reason. Second question... Where is your favorite Lord Ganesh Temple outside of India? I have not travelled for the purposes of yatra (pilgrimage) so I don't know. I live in South-East Asia. I am keen to collect photos as jpegs and colour photo-copying my favorite murtis as side images when I do puja. I am in Thailand right now. There was a fascinating exhibit of Ganapatai images from all over Asia here last October. I have an amulet which is made from the tiles of the local Brahmin Temple (the Royal household priests domain).
