The website, www.ramchandrapuramath.org, is for the benefit of those who wish to witness the occasion of `Shree Ramayana Mahasatra' (continuous mantra chanting) to be held in Karnataka in the month of April. M K Janardan is the organising secretary of the Shree Ramayan Mahasatra and the person responsible for gathering people from Mumbai for the event. Explaining about the event, Janardan said, "Mahasatra is a huge event that has never happened in the history. People from any caste and religion can come to witness this event." When asked reason for expecting people belonging to all religion to come for this event that is based on Ramayana, Janardan said, "Valmiki's Ramayana doesn't belong only to the Hindu religion. It is universal. The concept of Ramayana welcomes all. No religion teaches discrimination. Any religion is formed with the purpose of bringing people together." "It has been experimented and scientifically proved that Mahayagya (holy fire around which the Mahasatra will be chanted) has a positive effect on nature. For instance, if `yagya' is performed for rain in certain environmental conditions, then that region does get rainfall." The research is conducted by environmental research centres like Vedic Yadniya Prathisthan, Kerala and Om Shanti Dham, Bangalore amongst others. The details about such research are compiled together in a book `Scientific Evaluation of the Effects of the Apthodryama Yagani on the Environment'. The book has the clarifications for queries that are generally raised about the `yagya'. The contents of this book will soon be on the newly launched website.
