Hi Tamera

Welcome to Kundaliniyoga. You say you are interested in yoga - have you got

any experience of it or do you just want to learn? Kundalini Yoga is

somewhat different from the more normal forms of yoga such as Hatha. Check

out the links to various web sites to find out more about it. If you are

looking for a teacher, try the bookmark for IKYTA - International Kundalini

Yoga Teachers Association. Otherwise you can link to there from the 3HO

site, also linked to Yogi Bhajan.

If you have any questions that you want to ask, then please ask away. That

is what we are here for.

Dear list,

I have read your welcome letter and am still very vague about the specific

nature of Kundalini yoga.

I have practised Hatha for some time and would like to know how it differs

both in the practice and philosophy.

I would appreciate if any one would describe Kundalini yoga to me .

Thanks

Penelope.

Hi Sonja

Welcome to Kundaliniyoga. I take it you meant to say "Thank you for your

message"? Where are you from, and what is your interest in KYoga?

One request - please don't include all of the message you are replying to

when posting here - it can clog up the list.

Hello friends. I have recieved your e-mail. I won't say much, if anything

at all, throughout my time on this list. All I want is to learn from other

people about yoga: exercises they find benificial, types of breathing etc.

Hope this is OK

Welcome to Kundaliniyoga. You are most welcome to lurk if that is what you

prefer. However, you will probably learn more if you do ask the occasional

question. We are working on a lot of new developments for the list. I hope

to be in a position to make some announcements soon.

Hello friends,

Please forgive me for my bad english and my mistakes.

It is necessary that I tell you that Marie is my woman, Gaster it is me, his

husband. I don't manage to remove of my navigator my woman's automatic

signing. I think that it is located at the level of my supplier. It is her

that is registered.

Therefore, it is me that go in for tantric yoga. I practise tantric yoga in

France. I will be a yoga teacher in a few years. I work every day on the

breathing, on dams, mantra and mudras and the concentration on centers

(cakra). We have a special tantric way to exercise the asanas and the

pranayama, different of practices of the yoga as is taught in west. We make

a lot of prânâyâmas: a lot of bhastrikâs, of retentions of breath,

techniques of fainding, mûrchâ prânâyâma, we look for the stupefaction of

the breath and the stop of the mental (kevalî)

Veils an example of our practices to give you an idea of our yoga.

According to my teacher’s words: « we are gana, delinquents of the sky, we

can drink as barrels, to smoke as chimneys, to make love as gods, we can

fart in public, to be bad citizens but to be good yogis. »

I created for the French-speaking people a list: « tantrika »

Bonsoir Gaster

Bienvenue a Kundaliniyoga. Vous avez une bonne histoire - tres humereuse!

I don't think that we have any other French-speaking rs right now,

but I will place your mailing list details in the international section of

the new Kundaliniyoga Web Site that I am working on. If you have any URL's

for French Kundaliniyoga websites, I would be most grateful to receive

them - contact me off list with that.

I hope you enjoy your time here with us, and good luck with your yoga

training.

Hello.

A little bit about me.

I'm 32, mom of two preschoolers. I've been practicing yoga, meditation, and

shamanic journeying for about four years now. I recently had what I believe

was a kundalini awakening, but I'm not sure how I want to proceed. I have

been having visions, vivid dreams, hearing voices and sounds that others

don't see but haven't determined if it's all imaginary or not so I'm really

just gathering information for now and have decided that the law of least

effort will guide me to where I need to be. I think right now, my children

should be my main focus and don't want to get too obsessed with a spiritual

quest while at the same time I feel I'm becoming more conscious and aware and

closer to self-realization. I would like to take a slow and easy path to

enlightenment if it's possible and with the many different practices I've

studied, it's hard to me to settle with just one. SO for now, I'm just gonna

hang around if you all don't mind and observe....

Hi,

My name is Carole and I live in upstate NY - USA. I've only just heard about

Kundalini Yoga and am very interested - there are no classes in my area so I

am interested in what will be available on the web. I plan to begin the

exercises currently on the web site. I've done some (very little) Hatha yoga

and Tai Chi. Thanks:)

Hi Carole

Welcome to Kundalini Yoga. Whereabouts in NYS do you live? I know there are

classes in Buffalo, but I haven't checked anywhere else - have you searched

the IKYTA directory from our website?

If you have any problems or queries regarding the exercises on the site,

then give us a holler on here. We will be adding to that section very

shortly - thanks to the efforts of one of our rs, I now have all

the scans here from one of Gururattan's books, and will be placing extracts

from that in the KY Intro.

Enjoy your Kundalini Yoga

Hi Gordon,

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in Webster NY which is a suburb of Rochester -

about 60 miles from Buffalo. I'll look forward to your additions to the web
