Please DO NOT send requests to the list. Hi! I'm new to the list. My first experience of kundalini happened when I was a beginning yoga student several years ago. I had no business being in a level 2 class, but I went anyway. The teacher led a vigorous heat-building practice, followed by kapalabathi breathing, and extended chanting, into a seated meditation. I was highly aware and conscious in the moment, and at one point, I realized I was completely empty, no breath, no thought, no body, just acute conscious awareness. My body pulsed with expansive energy, almost more than I could bear. I soon became aware of tears streaming down my face because my feet were wet. I felt streams of energy rushing through my neck veins into my skull. When the teacher called us out of the meditation, I was not willing to leave that state. When I reluctantly returned, the teacher looked directly at me, and knowing I was very new to yoga, said "If any of you have had a deeply emotional experience, just be with it." At the time, I had no language for what had occurred to me. I don't remember the ride home. I don't remember taking a shower and sitting down for 2 hours in a stupor. I can only remember the bliss, the sense of utter emancipation. When I returned to my yoga center, I told the teacher what happened to me, and she explained kundalini to me. I entered yoga in crisis, and "found" my Self on a yoga mat. Through yoga, and that first kundalini experience, I learned that I liked who I was. That experience showed me everything I needed to know about my potential and my true nature. It gave me the courage, stamina and perseverence to make needed changes in my marriage relationship, and to be strong while those changes were being implemented...not an easy task. Yoga supported me during that challenging time. I now have a yoga teacher who is steeped in the Tantra, Kundalini, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Viniyoga traditions, a very potent, vast and rare synthesis of experience, and I'm deeply grateful to be one of his students. Please DO NOT send requests to the list. Hi: I'm new to the list, but not completely new to Kundalini yoga. My own teacher, Raji, is trained in Kundalini and is successfully channelling his energy to us, his students. I also teach yoga to beginners, and am starting to incorporate Kundalini meditations, chanting, visualizations and breathing practices into my classes. I really enjoy learning about Kundalini "wisdom". I'm a sponge right now, soaking up all I can get. Thanks. Namaste, Ellen Pfeffer

Guest guest
It is a pleasure to become part of such a wonderful group of people interested in the same thing I am, Kundalini yoga. I find this yoga very stimulating as well as a good way to de-stess. I find my yoga time is a very good time to focus on me and where I am holding stress within my body. I am, however, having difficulty with left nostril breating, but I keep trying and it seems to get better. If anyone has any information why this might be so hard for me I would appreciate it!! Guest guest
I haven't ever posted a message on it. The only time I ever had the chance to go to that site was when I first became a member. I haven't visited it since then. I don't have a computer at home, so I only get an hour online at the library when I get time to go. Sorry I couldn't help you. ____ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
