In Barbara Brennan's book "Light Emerging" -- (she is better know for her

previous book "Hands of Light") she describes people who have some open,

function Chakras, and other Chakras closed or partially blocked. She

describes ailments that different combinations of open and blocked Chakras

can cause. This book, and "Hands of Light" are very informative. Barbara

Brennan is a world renown healer, therapist and scientist who is the founder

and director of the Barbara Brennan school of Healing in Long Island, NY.

Open, spinning Chakras are the "norm" for a healthy individual. The

Kundalini is something different. Raising the Kundalini when the body and

energy body has not been prepared can cause devastating results. The

Kundalini may just "blow through" any blocks causing physical and mental

trauma. There are actually hot lines where people can call for help if

their Kundalini has been raised and they are having difficulty.

I've read recently something about as we go through life, our Kundalini will

gradually rise until we are ready for death and it has reached the crown and

we are connected with the eternal life. But I only read that once place (I

can't remember where), so I'm not too convinced about that one!

I'm sure there is someone out there on this list who knows more about this

than I do. I'm still preparing.
