Guest guest
Hi to you all I am pleased to inform you that Guru Rattana Khalsa is now a member of the Kundaliniyoga Mailing List. Guru Rattana is one of the best known teachers of KYoga in the US. She is a prolific writer, and has several excellent books on Kundalini Yoga to her credit. I work from one myself. She is very enthusiastic about our goals and, although busy with many other projects, is keen to make herself available to answer your queries and offer her perspective to some of your challenges. In the longer term, we are looking at starting a Kundalini Yoga course, which she will run, probably in the fall of this year. We are still discussing the various options and best means of doing this - as far as we know it has never been done on the Net before - and hope to have full details available on here by the summer. Guru Rattana's web site is currently being revamped, and soon you will be able to order her books direct from a link on our own new web site - hopefully by early April. There are a lot of other developments in the offing, and I will tell you all about them in due course. Below I'm appending a brief bio, telling you more about Guru Rattana. Sat Nam Gordon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Introducing Guru Rattana Khalsa, Ph.D. Guru Rattana is a universal being who has thoroughly prepared for this moment in history. She has trained as a teacher with Yogi Bhajan for 22 years and has been on a committed spiritual path for 30 years. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Geneva. She has taught International Environmental Cooperation and Development at MIT, Dartmouth College and New Hampshire College and history and philosophy of life and science at U.S. International University (San Diego). She taught a course on the Chakras at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (Palo Alto) and Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as part of the Health Improvement Program at Stanford University. She is author of four of the original Kundalini yoga and meditation manuals that are distributed world-wide: Transitions to a Heart-Centered World, Relax and Renew, Sexuality and Spirituality, and Introduction to Kundalini Yoga. She is also author of Your Life is in Your Chakras from which she has taught workshops that are ready to be made into videos. She wrote Inner and Outer Ecology: Transitions to a Sustainable Worldview for the Earth Summit. Her groundbreaking book--The Destiny of Women Is the Destiny of the World has sold over 1000 copies in its self-published version by word or mouth. In the last five years Rattana has written over 500 essay-poems that make up over 25 books that are waiting to be shared with the world. In the last eleven years she has given hundreds of workshops and classes on personal empowerment which she has carefully prepared for videos and audio cassette production.. (She rarely teaches the same subject twice.) Her unique presentation incorporates her writings, a profound understanding of spiritual principles and human growth, and the transmutation of emotional energy into higher awareness. Each class is a milestone in consciousness. Rattana's life is devoted to experiencing higher meaning, feeling more and more alive and vital and establishing a spiritual connection with her Soul and God. In turn she is able to help others experience the same spiritual upliftment and find meaning and purpose in their lives. As a pioneering teacher, she uniquely synthesizes the basic techniques from the science of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and incorporates principles from her practice of Tai Chi and Chi Gong. Her approach is to "market for results." She shares her profound knowledge on a wide range of topics including—Living on the Creative Edge, Soul Consciousness, the Art and Science of a Successful Woman, Inner Beauty and Radiance, Tantric Sexuality, From Co-dependence to Co-creation, Rejuvenation through Redirecting Stress, Releasing Addictions by Going for God. Rattana believes higher consciousness is the cornerstone that will help us find solutions to all world problems. As we change our consciousness we transform the world. Her life is devoted to helping people move beyond belief to the EXPERIENCE of the ecstasy of Self, a relationship with the Unknown, and a conscious connection with the Divine. Guest guest
Dear Friends, I am delighted to join you as a member of the Kundaliniyoga Mailing List. Through the magic of our common intent to "wake up" and our fortune to have discovered Kundalini Yoga as a powerful method to facilitate our goal, we have been brought together. Thank you to Gordon for pursuing until he found my email address. It is less than a week and we have initiated several exciting projects, including a course on Kundalini Yoga that we will share over the net. To the extent that I am able, I offer of share my perspective to your questions about Kundalini Yoga. I am already enjoying the current discussion on "perfectionism" and the apparent duality or two paths of surrender and action or discipine. The yin and the yang and the feminine and masculine are the two polarities that challenge us in every form of our human experience. And here they are again. The mastery of both and their integration are all part of our spiritual path. Some of the points made, I feel are very accurate for me. I summarize them by saying that what we are searching for is the balanced or the highest expression of the two poles. The surrender or receptive path is not giving up or relinquishing our participation, but being totally allowing and aware of what is happening. The action and discipline path, is not beating ourselves up, but consciously choosing to practice the techniques that keep us healthy, vital and more and more alive. Blessings, RAttana
Guest guest
Guru Rattana; I believe I may have had the good fortune to have met you several years ago at the Third Int'l Kundalini Research Network Symposium in Sunnyvale, CA. I don't recall that we 'met' formally, but perhaps we shared a seminar, or I may have attended a workshop that you taught--I can't recall now. But I do remember you.. Glad to have the opportunity to meet you again--as it were. Madhya
