Guest guest
Dear Kris and friends, I am experimenting with how to most effectively answer questions and participate in our discussions. I have chosen to capitalize the topic, the indication of my previous statement, the question or comment and my answer. I am open to comments of this experiment and suggestions on how we streamline our communications. Thank you for your question on the HIGHEST EXPRESSION OF POLARITIES ORIGINAL COMMENT: > Rattanna wrote: > > > >I am already enjoying the current discussion on "perfectionism" and the > apparent duality or two paths of surrender and action or discipine. RATTANA'S RESPONSES: HIGHEST EXPRESSION OF POLARITIES: In general, I choose to use yin and yang and not feminine and masculine because the latter are too associated with the respective genders. And both energies exist in both men and women. My understanding of the yin and yang polarities has come through experiences and awarenesses during my meditations and monitoring myself during my daily life experiences. I will share some of my insights, which I offer not as answers but as encouragement to do your own exploration. All the basic truths and the energies of the universe are ever present and simply exist. We can all experience them, if we cultivate an expanded awareness. One of the most exciting parts of my life is expanding my knowlege through my direct experience with what is. It has taken me many years of discipline (yang), i.e. the actual practice of the technology of Kundalini yoga and meditation (as well as several years of the internal martial arts) to prepare myself to even begin to touch what I feel might be the essence of the highest expression of the yin aspect of being. For me, the true yin aspect is being able to be still, to allow what is happening, to listen without filters, to observe without beliefs and interpretations, to receive without fear or reservations. I will stop here. I am still working on all these and am sure I will be my whole life. As I learn to actually maintain the above in my consciousness, I receive guidance on what to do. When I can act from this guidance and this place of consciousness, I feel I am expressing the highest for of yang energy. I am still working on that too!! :+) RELATION TO KUNDALINI YOGA Yes, this is one of the fundamental aims of Kundalini yoga--the highest expression of universal energies in our own unique physical form. The ancient yogis figured out and perfected the technology. Our task is to use it. Kundalinli yoga is the "yoga of awareness." And the possibilities of awarenss are infinite. What an exciting journey! Blessings and Sat Nam, Rattana
