Guest guest
The Kundalini yoga that was shared with me was for self healing. My class is hatha yoga and she just introduced Kundalini for the "magnetic force" for one of the classmates. Your hatha or regular yoga classes should not be replaced, rather complimented with Kundalini yoga. Why should i take this yoga, and if can't find a > kundalili instructor waht is the next best thing ot do? thank u Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and as we are sharing in this website has several features that distinguished it from hatha yoga. Kundalini yoga emphasizes activating the gladular system through movement and strengthening the nervous system through powerful breathing, including the breath of fire which we do with many of the exercises. We also use a combination of movement, breathing and mantra, which results in a powerful stimulation and integration of many aspects of our being. We also include active meditative practices at the end of each exercise session. There are many different kinds of hatha yoga classes, so it is not possible for me to distinguish between them all. Basically hatha yoga emphasizes physical postures and the holding of these postures. In KY there is more movement. I practiced hatha yoga for 8 years before finding KY. I am so grateful how that practice made me feel more alive. I would suggest taking a KY class because it is another experience that could add richness to your life. If you cannot find a KY instructor, we will be starting classes in the fall, so stay tuned. In the meantime, look for other kinds of yoga classes. There are some wonderful teachers and classes out there and one might just be next door to you. Every experience and every type of yoga will expand and enrich your life.
