Guest guest
Dear Zack, This is not a silly question. Sat means the Truth. And Nam means to call upon or to name or to embody. When we say Sat Nam we affirm the highest truth in ourselves and others. It is like a cosmic prayer, blessing and affirmation at the same time. Glad you asked. There is so much to know. We will just keep at it and enjoy the process. Sat Nam, Rattana :+)

Guest guest
Dear Zack, Yes, Sat Nam is used in the same way as Namaste, as a greeting and a blessing. They have different meanings, but at the highest level, Sat Nam--calling on the Truth and Namaste--finding the place where we are all one, by honoring that place in others and ourselves does lead us to the same result! Anyone else have an experience or thought on this? Thanks for asking. Guest guest
My yoga studio/teacher publishes the following on a bookmark. I really like this. I also like the fact that we always end our yoga classes by saying Namaste to each other. Namaste... I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides, I honor the place in you of love, of light, of peace, I honor the place in you where If you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, There is only one of us. Namaste, Luann
