Guest guest
Kundalini Awakening occurs at the moment the mind becomes aware there is an inert energy in the body. Kundalini Arousal begins when the energy starts to move up the central column (Sushumna). For people that the Kundalini is not aroused the energy moves up the smaller channels alternating between the Ida and Pingala channels(Corresponding with the breath). Can someone have all chakras open(Kundalini Awakened) but not move the energy through the Sushumna? Who knows? A person starting out in the Martial Arts(Hard Styles) typically do not build as much energy as someone doing yoga, but they are typically at an advantage. They learn to project energy when striking at an object, (They learn to strike through what they are striking at) . The strike typically ends one foot behind the target(Mentally that is). Due to this, he becomes aware of the energy as he progresses through the ranks.(Awareness the first key) Two interesting notes on Martial Arts. 1) Oriental martial arts was originally derived from yoga. A yogi thought monks breathing exercizes at a Shaolin Temple when he noticed the Monks were out of shape. Many if not all Kung Fu sprang from these exercizes. Karate then sprang from Kung Fu. 2) The belts worn to show rank was originally used to let the student learn his energy center(Dan Tien). The knot tied in the belt acts as a physicall focul point of the practicioners energy center. If you have the opportunity to see a Martial Arts class notice the locations of the knot on the belt of different level students. Visualize where the energy center should be and where each level student has the knot located(You will be surprised). Here is a fun way of finding your energy if you don't do Martial Arts or any type of Yoga. The next time Your'e in a crowd create a thought of happiness then visualize giving it to different people (Visuallize it going over to them, spending about 2 seconds at the most because there are a lot of people to spread happiness to). Also, do not only do the exercize to people that you want to meet. You will be interestingly surpised at the results. (Once this exercize is understood you will know why many systems believe in stilling the mind, there is always thought before action) What distinguishes Hatha Yoga from Kundalini Yoga? Are the exercizes any different? Awareness may be the difference. (Anyway Kundalini is cool because you can be a total lunatic but considered cool) John
Guest guest
Thank you John. That was most intelligently stated and helped alot. I've done a similar exercise where I practice projection of love to people on the street. I know what you're talking about. ~Ronni
