Guest guest
Hi to All I have forwarded this message from the Kundalini list at the author's request. Can anyone here help her, or can anyone refer her to someone who can. Please send any mail to her privately. Sat Nam! Gordon > leslieb > > Hi everyone. I'm writing to introduce myself briefly, and express an interest in finding a down-to-earth, knowledgeable teacher who experiences and understands kundalini processes. A big heart and solid integrity are two other very important qualities I'm looking for in a teacher. I would also like to know if anyone knows of any active research projects or scholarships related to kundalini or spiritual awakening. I'm 36 years old. I work as a Graphic Designer, and have been taking graduate level Transpersonal Psychology courses part-time in the evening for the past two years. I have been experiencing various aspects of kundalini awakening since '86, but didn't have any idea what was happening until '96 when I started experiencing uncomfortable aspects of the experience (feeling like there was a fire hose full of energy rushing through my body and shaking intensely in my chest, involuntary movements (particularly in the evening), mind slowing way down, sensitivity to flourescent lights, trouble sleeping, etc. Most of the uncomfortable aspects ceased within the better part of a year. The main features that have continued are hightened intuition and sensitivity, feelings of union with existence, regular experiences of White Light (two versions: one that's brighter and lasts longer at "12" in my visual field (if my visual field were compared to the shape of a clock), and another that moves counter-clockwise from about "2" to "10" in my visual field. I would love to study this phenomena full-time, to help myself and others, if I could figure out a way to finance it. The experience fascinates me, and I would like to learn more about cultivating it safely. I am an excellent student with a B.A. in Religious Studies and an M.S. in Electronics and Computer Technology, and have access to Stanford University Psychophysiology Laboratory (where I used to work). I live south of San Francisco, California. I am also quite interested in learning about others' experiences with kundalini, and would love to know of anyone possibly interested in participating as a research subject. > > Love & Light, > Leslie
