Guest guest
Dearest Gururattan, I have been a student of Kundalini for many years, as of Jan. 2002 my teacher gave me his blessings to share the tradition with others. Since then I've been teaching small groups and individuals; my concern is with the amount of teachers trained in the Hatha tradition that feel the need to insert this model of yoga into a sadhana. Would you be so kind as to give me your thoughts. Valerie
Guest guest
> Dear KY family, > > can anyone tell me where I can find information on how to do SA TA NA MA RA MA DA SA > SA SAY SO HUNG ? > I understand it is supposed to help alleviate one's karma when done correctly. > I understand how to use the fingers - but where do you hold your hands? With your arms up 90o or on your lap? What about the breath,- would you do it all in one breath or in three seperate ones? Hi Ruth, The meditation you're asking for is (I believe) Gan Pattee. I have it in 'Kundalini Yoga' by Shakta Kaur Khalsa. She says it's in 3 parts. Sit straight, hands on knees, fingers out stretched, arms straight.Press your fingers as you chant the mantra. 1 repetition on each breath. Take a deep breath between each repetition. Continue 11-31 mins. At the end , stay sitting and inhale deeply. Hold breath 20-30 secs, while you move every part of your body. Jump, shake and wiggle(!) everything. Inhale and repeat 2 more times. Then sit totally still, concentrating on the tip of your nose w/eyes 1/10 open for 1 minute. Hope that helps,
